As revealed by the Da Nang People’s Committee, AI will serve as a core driver of urban management, public services, healthcare, education, tourism, transportation, and environmental protection, forming the backbone of the city’s smart urban development strategy.

The plan aligns with the Politburo’s directive on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

By 2030, 100% of administrative agencies in Da Nang are expected to apply AI in processing administrative procedures, with at least two new AI projects or initiatives launched each year.

The city will also establish an AI Incubator and an AI Center of Excellence, while attracting at least 100 technology enterprises specializing in AI, blockchain and semiconductors.

To realize these goals, Da Nang will invest in high-performance data and computing infrastructure and develop a shared, open data platform.

The city also plans to expand AI applications across multiple sectors, from chatbots and virtual assistants in public services to predictive healthcare, personalized education, and smart traffic management.

Heed will be paid to fostering an AI-driven startup ecosystem and introduce sandbox models for testing new technologies.

A strong emphasis will be placed on AI talent development through partnerships with major global technology companies such as NVIDIA, Google, Alibaba, and Viettel, focusing on intensive training programs and AI bootcamps.

Given the cited initiatives, Da Nang aims to solidify its position as Vietnam’s AI-powered innovation capital, driving the nation’s digital transformation agenda in the years ahead.
