Key indicators meet and exceed targets
According to the Da Nang Party Committee’s 2025 review, the city’s GRDP grew an estimated 9.18%, ranking 9th nationwide among centrally governed localities.
Services expanded by 9.34%, contributing 4.98 percentage points to growth. Industry-construction rose 12.07%, adding 3.28 points while agriculture, forestry and fisheries grew 3.27%.
Tourism remained a highlight, with 17.3 million overnight visitors, including 7.6 million international and 9.7 million domestic arrivals, and its revenue exceeding VND 60 trillion.
Retail sales reached VND 134.6 trillion, exports totalled USD 4.53 billion. The index of industrial production (IIP) increased 8-9%.
Domestic investment surged to nearly VND 210 trillion while Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) reached nearly USD 503 million.

Bright spots in key growth sectors
Da Nang’s growth drivers are shifting toward high technology, advanced services and premium tourism, in line with the goal of becoming a regional hub for international capital flows.
Tourism remains a key pillar, reinforced by major festivals and international events, while high-tech industries, particularly semiconductors and AI (artificial intelligence), are emerging as new engines.
In 2025, the city attracted major projects, including a VND 1.8 trillion semiconductor lab, a data centre complex worth up to VND 2 trillion, and an AI data hub valued at about USD 200 million.
Investment in high-tech parks rose from VND 6.4 trillion in 2023 to VND 10 trillion in 2025, supporting digital transformation and Da Nang’s sixth consecutive recognition as a smart city.
Looking ahead, the city is advancing plans for a free trade zone and an international financial centre focused on green and innovative finance.
Driving sustainable growth
Da Nang has set ambitious targets for 2026, aiming to serve 19.1 million overnight visitors (up 10.5% year on year) with tourism revenue nearing VND 70 trillion, an increase of over 15%.

Da Nang will advance industrial and trade development programmes, accelerate implementation of the Free Trade Zone, strengthen budget management, and push forward its international financial centre with a focus on fintech and green finance.
