Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou are evaluated as China’s distinctive urban areas.
Hong Kong stands out as an international Special Administrative Region and a shopping center. Shenzhen is a special economic zone symbolizing technological innovation, while Guangzhou serves as the cultural cradle and commercial hub of Guangdong Province.
Together, these three localities form a dynamic and bustling development triangle while representing key markets and vital gateways for bringing international visitors to Da Nang.
Mr. Le Anh Dung, Head of the Representative Office for Hong Kong Airlines in Vietnam, said that after just three years of operations, the airline has increased its frequency to three daily direct flights from Da Nang to Hong Kong and vice versa.
Looking ahead, the airline plans to further expand flight services to meet the impressive growth in Da Nang's tourism sector.
Reported from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the city welcomed over 14.2 million visitors in the first eight months of this year.
Of this total, international arrivals accounted for nearly 6.9 million, up 26% year-on-year, while domestic visitors exceeded 7.3 million, up 23% year-on-year.
In particular, Chinese visitors accounted for nearly 550,000 arrivals (in 2025) and nearly 650,000 arrivals (in the first eight months of 2026), ranking second among Da Nang’s international tourism source markets.
