DNO - From October 14 to 17, a delegation from Da Nang city’s Department of Science and Technology visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to promote investment and innovation cooperation with local partners.
On October 14, the Da Nang delegation had a working session with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) to present the city’s strengths in science, technology, and innovation, highlighting opportunities in digital transformation, smart cities, and renewable energy. DMCC representatives expressed keen interest in Da Nang’s innovation-driven growth model.
On October 16, the Da Nang delegation visited Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) to discuss cooperation in technology investment, innovation, and start-ups. Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in information technology, artificial intelligence (AI), green energy, and smart city development, and to help Da Nang start-ups access Middle Eastern and global markets.

The investment promotion programme in Dubai marks a highlight in Da Nang’s 2025 international cooperation agenda. It not only showcases Da Nang as a dynamic, innovative, and investor-friendly city but also opens new avenues for practical collaboration in science, technology, and innovation.
The initiative aligns with Da Nang’s goal of becoming a leading startup and innovation hub in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands, with a growing global reach.
