DNO - On October 23, a delegation from Da Nang city’s Start-up and Innovation Support Centre visited the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Institute in South Korea.

During the meeting, Nguyen Viet Toan, Director of the Da Nang Start-up and Innovation Support Centre, highlighted the city’s efforts to build a dynamic start-up ecosystem.
Da Nang is also promoting investment and innovation through key annual events such as the Da Nang Start-up and Innovation Festival and the Da Nang Venture and Angel Investment Forum.
Meanwhile, President of the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Institute Min Jung Gi introduced the institute’s role in promoting digital transformation and high-tech industries under the Daegu city government.
Its work centres on artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain, along with test-bed facilities and the Suseong Alpha City Innovation Centre that support start-ups and digital talent. He stated that Daegu’s applications of these technologies align well with Da Nang’s digital transformation goals.

On this occasion, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation. They also proposed practical collaboration mechanisms, such as promoting technology transfer in information technology, AI, and related sectors through Da Nang-based enterprises.
In addition, both sides will co-host tech showcases in Da Nang, collaborate on digital talent training, and connect local universities with short-term internships in South Korea.
