DNO - The Department of Construction of Da Nang City held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation with the China-based Pacific Construction Group on July 17.

According to the signed agreement, the two sides will focus on the planning and development of urban railway network, expressway, airport, smart parking, and other technical infrastructure projects. The two sides also support each other in researching mechanism and policies to mobilise investment capital for the construction of transportation infrastructure.
In addition, the Da Nang Department of Construction and China's Pacific Construction Group will promote investment cooperation in building infrastructure, especially key projects. It is based on current Vietnamese laws while leveraging experiences from Pacific Construction Group.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Quang Nam emphasized that Da Nang is promoting several key sectors, such as startup, innovation, digital transformation, high-tech industry, semiconductor, artificial intelligence (AI), high-quality tourism and service, trade and logistics, a port city and an international financial center. Therefore, it is necessary for Da Nang to build a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, especially in transportation.

Vice Chairman Nam expressed high regard for the reputation, capabilities, and experiences of the Pacific Construction Group in infrastructural investment, construction, and development.
He hoped the cooperation between the Da Nang Department of Construction and China's Pacific Construction Group would contribute to the city's development in particular and strengthen the cooperative relations between Vietnam and China in general.
