He emphasized that the Party organization, authorities, and people of Da Nang have always attached great importance to contributing to the strengthening of the two countries’ relationship of “good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability”.

Within this broader relationship, exchanges among officials of different generations, particularly young cadres, play an important role in upholding, preserving and further deepening the political and social foundations of Vietnam - Cambodia ties.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, since July 1, 2025, Da Nang’s development space has expanded to nearly 12,000 square kilometers, with a population of more than three million and 94 commune-level administrative units.
Alongside these new development opportunities, the central Vietnamese city is focusing on operating the two-tier local government model, streamlining its organizational structure, accelerating administrative reform and digital transformation, promoting innovation, and attracting highly qualified human resources.

The Da Nang high-ranking official voiced his expectation that both sides would engage in open and substantive discussions on issues of mutual interest, particularly experience in Party building, developing young cadres, organizing and operating local governments, and promoting socio-economic development.
He also expressed his confidence that the meeting would help younger generations of officials from the two countries gain a deeper understanding of their longstanding friendship and become more aware of their shared responsibility to nurture solidarity and strengthen bilateral ties.
