DNO - The Da Nang International Guitar Festival 2025 officially opened at the Duy Tan University on Friday.
The event brings together renowned guitarists from Viet Nam and around the world, creating an emotionally rich musical space that inspires lovers of classical guitar.
This year’s festival features three main concerts, held consecutively on the evenings of December 19, 20, and 21. Each concert has its own distinct theme: "Guitar Portraits", "The World in a String", and "Vibrations of the Soul".
The event welcomes prominent international artists such as Campbell Diamond (Australia), Vietnamese-Australian guitarist Le Hoang Minh, along with prominent domestic artists, namely Huynh Ba Tho (Ho Chi Minh City), Phan Xuan Tri (Da Nang), Nguyen Ngoc San (Da Nang), Nguyen Duy Quoc Anh (Ha Noi), and the Dream Oasis Guitar Ensemble (Da Nang).
Through carefully selected repertoires and the artists’ masterful techniques, the audiences are immersed themselves in a diverse musical space. The program spans various periods and styles, from Romantic and Neoclassical works to Modern compositions and the free-spirited rhythms of Latin American music.
Also during the Da Nang International Guitar Festival 2025, there are a series of in-depth activities, including music workshops, classical guitar masterclasses, a talent competition, and an international music camp. These provide opportunities for musicians and audiences to connect, refine their skills, and spread a passion for guitar artistry within the community.
Initiated in 2012, with the support of the Da Nang People's Committee, the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, sponsors, and the art-loving community, artist Phan Xuan Tri laid the foundation for the Da Nang International Guitar Concert series.
In 2024, the program officially elevated its scale and status under the name "Da Nang International Guitar Festival".
