During the working session with the Engineer Cafe, a technology community hub in Fukuoka Prefecture, the two sides exchanged experience in supporting startups and engineers, and developing tech communities.

They also discussed several cooperation models combining professional workshops with visits to universities, research institutes and technology organizations.

Based on these discussions, Da Nang and Fukuoka could explore similar activities to establish a practical exchange network, and create opportunities for Vietnamese engineers to launch startups, develop products and services in Japan.

While working with SMBC, the Da Nang delegation discussed investment trends and opportunities to connect Vietnamese startups with Japan’s investment networks.

SMBC representatives shared information about their investment strategy, as well as the sectors and criteria used to evaluate businesses and startups in Southeast Asia.

Several Da Nang-based enterprises introduced their products and business models, as well as engaged in direct discussions with SMBC representatives.
