DNO - Realizing great potential of the global Halal market, many Da Nang-based enterprises have proactively invested in production technology, improved product quality standards, and expanded exports. This strategic approach is seen as a way to help local businesses diversify markets, improve their competitiveness, and contribute to the city's economic growth.

The Huong Que Manufacturing, Processing and Trading Import Export Co., Ltd., based in Hoa Khanh Ward, is a typical example. It has invested over VND 1 billion in a new technology line to produce products ordered according to international requirements.
Since the beginning of 2025, the company’s revenue has increased by about 7% compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, the Huong Que company has just expanded its connection with partners in Dubai and is preparing to export its first shipment scheduled for November 7.
A company representative shared that meeting the strict criteria of the Halal market not only enhanced brand value but also created a premise for businesses to expand production scale and pursue sustainable development.
Meanwhile, the My Phuong Food Co., Ltd., based in Hoa Khanh Ward, is among the pioneers in Da Nang to proactively build and maintain Halal certification over the years.
The company has continuously re-evaluated its Halal certification for three consecutive years and successfully exported to two Halal markets: Malaysia and Israel.
In 2025, the company plans to participate in many international trade fairs to expand export opportunities to major and potential Halal markets such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Egypt and India.

According to Director of My Phuong Food Co., Ltd. Mai Thi Y Nhi, the company’s advantage lies in its natural raw materials and clean production process which almost completely meet the requirements of Halal without major adjustments.
Nine local enterprises have so far received Halal certification. To support enterprises in exploring the Halal market, the city has carried out a number of trade promotion programs and activities in recent years.
Most recently, in September 2025, a delegation of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade took part in exhibition booths at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025) where Da Nang companies introduced their signature products, gained insights into the Halal product and service market, and connected with international partners.
These efforts aim to help Da Nang-based enterprises shape suitable trade promotion strategies and gradually expand export opportunities to Malaysia and other Muslim countries.
