Da Nang, Daegu strengthen technological cooperation

During the meeting, the two sides discussed plans to promote the establishment of the Daegu Technology Demonstration Space in Da Nang. This initiative aims to introduce Daegu’s advanced technological products and lay a foundation for extensive cooperation among businesses, organizations and research institutes of the two cities.

Representatives of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center presented the city's key policies and guidelines to support innovation startups. At the same time, they invited Daegu representatives to participate in major events in Da Nang, including investment connection programs, startup conference and innovation forums.

These activities will not only create a bridge among technology enterprises but also contribute to strengthening cultural and economic exchanges, thereby creating a driving force for sustainable development between the two cities.

On the occasion, the Da Nang delegation visited the headquarters of Sphere AX - a South Korean technology enterprise that has opened a representative office at the Da Nang Software Park No. 2.

Sphere AX is among the enterprises benefiting from support policies according to Resolution No. 58/2024/NQ-HDND issued by the Da Nang People's Council which stipulates preferential policies and support mechanisms for information infrastructure assets to develop the field of semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

The delegation also toured the Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Daegu CCEI). Established in 2014, Daegu CCEI is one of the pioneers in the network of “Centers for Creative Economy and Innovation” initiated by the South Korean Government.

Daegu CCEI plays an important role in fostering the startup ecosystem, supporting technology commercialization, and connecting startups with large corporations, research institutes and universities.
