During the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Dung expressed his appreciation for the active support and close coordination of Mrs. Dong Biyou and officials of the Chinese Consulate General in the city in promoting economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Da Nang and Chinese partners in recent years.
He informed that Da Nang is now home to many Chinese-invested projects. These mainly focus on the processing and manufacturing industries, garment and footwear production, construction, mineral exploitation, and tourism services.
Da Nang has established official friendship and cooperative relations with five Chinese localities, namely Shandong Province, Jiangsu Province, Macau Special Administrative Region, Kunming City in Yunnan Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Da Nang and the Chinese localities have maintained regular delegation exchanges and cultural and people-to-people activities. Notably, the Da Nang Party Committee signed a friendship cooperation agreement with the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee in April 2025.
Regarding tourism, from 2016 to 2019, China consistently ranked among the top 10 international source markets for Da Nang.
