DNO - The Da Nang C Hospital officially inaugurated its Cardiovascular Centre on Tuesday morning, marking the hospital’s new significant milestone in providing diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases.
The Cardiovascular Centre was established under the decision of the Minister of Health and the Director of the hospital. Its goal is to offer high-quality medical services through the application of advanced technology and modern treatment methods. The Centre has 110 beds located in the Department of Cardiology, the Interventional Cardiology Unit, and the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
The medical equipment at the centre is invested synchronously and modernly, including two digital subtraction angiography (DSA) systems, coronary MSCT scanners, cardiac MRI machines, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), heart-lung machines, 4D transesophageal echocardiography systems, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Holter ECG and blood pressure monitors, and many other specialized resuscitation and emergency equipment.
Currently, the Centre regularly performs complex cardiovascular intervention techniques such as coronary angiography, lower limb and renal artery intervention, abdominal aortic aneurysm treatment using stent grafts, cerebral vascular intervention, Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) for liver tumors, permanent pacemaker implantation, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, laser treatment for varicose veins, and sclerotherapy. As of May 2025, the unit had performed over 10,000 imaging and intervention cases, meeting international standards for professional practice quality.
In his remarks at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Hoang Phuong, Director of the Cardiovascular Centre under the Da Nang C Hospital stated "The establishment of the Centre not only meets the need for specialized cardiovascular treatment but also ease the burden on upper-level hospitals, thereby improving the quality of community health care".
