DNO - The Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center under the Department of Science and Technology held working sessions on February 10 and 11 with the Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA) and Star Consulting Company to explore cooperation in advancing green economic development and innovation in the field of sustainable energy.

Under the proposed direction, the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center and Star Consulting will work to realize the goal of positioning Da Nang as a sustainable development city by hosting an in-depth international forum on the adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and deep decarbonization in the aviation sector, in alignment with global climate targets.
The forum, scheduled for May 2026, is expected to bring together policymakers, investors in the green economy, experts, businesses, and innovative initiatives and solutions. The event aims to promote global sustainable development, protect Vietnam’s ecological environment, and contribute to building a stable, green-growth economy for the city.
This is expected to be the first international forum in Vietnam dedicated to innovation initiatives and policy discussions in the sustainable aviation fuel sector, an area currently attracting significant attention from the global community.
At the working session, ASAFA and Star Consulting signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a partnership. Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly organize workshops, forums, and training programs on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and green aviation development in Vietnam and the region.

Specifically, ASAFA will be responsible for professional content and international expert engagement, while Star Consulting will oversee local coordination and connections within the domestic business ecosystem.
Within the framework of the working program, ASAFA and Star Consulting visited and worked at Da Nang International Airport and Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company (BSR) to exchange information, share international experiences, and discuss directions for innovation, green transformation, and sustainable industrial development related to SAF.
