Da Nang adjusts locations for Free Trade Zone establishment

DNO - The Da Nang People's Committee has just approved adjustments to the city’s master plan to 2030 with a vision to 2045, including designated locations for establishing the Free Trade Zone.

Accordingly, the adjusted areas are part of Hai Van and Lien Chieu wards, and Ba Na and Hoa Vang communes, with a total adjusted area of about 1,881 hectares.

Specifically, location No.1 covers an area of about 100ha in Hai Van Ward. It borders the foot of Hai Van Pass and the road linking to Lien Chieu Seaport to the north, Cu De River to the south, Kim Lien Bay to the east, and Lien Chieu Industrial Park to the west.

Also, in Hai Van Ward, location No. 2 is bounded by the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Complex project and the Lien Chieu Village Communal House to the north, the Lien Chieu Industrial Park and the residential area behind Kim Lien Bay to the south, the residential area and Lien Chieu Industrial Park to the east, and the Lang Van Tourism and Resort Complex project to the west. It has a total area of ​​about 77ha.

Location No. 3 is located in Hai Van Ward and has a total area of about 500ha. It is bordered by the ADB Bac Thuy Tu - Pho Nam route to the north, the Cu De River to the south, the southern bypass of the Hai Van Tunnel to the east, and the An Dinh Village to the west.

Covering an area of ​​about 599ha in Lien Chieu Ward and Ba Na Commune, location No. 4 borders Hoa Ninh Cemetery and the Western Ring Road to the north, Dong Son and Son Phuoc villages to the south, Son Phuoc Village and DT602 Route to the east, and the Western Ring Road to the west.

Nestled in Ba Na Commune, the about 90ha location No.5 is surrounded by Suoi Mo and Suoi Lanh streams, tourism service land, and production forest.

With a total area of 154h in Ba Na Commune, location No. 6 borders An Son Village to the north, Dieu Phong Village and Truoc Dong Village to the south and the east, and Hoi Phuoc Village, Hoang Van Thai Street and Dieu Phong Village to the west.

Location No. 7, covering 401ha in Ba Na and Hoa Vang communes, has the Ba Na Golf Course expansion project and Dieu Phong Village to the north, Dong Lam and Hoa Hai villages to the south, Dieu Phong Village to the east, and Phu Tuc Village to the west.

Based on these adjustments, Da Nang’s urban construction land by 2030 will total around 30,400 hectares, reduced by about 1,307 hectares, accounting for 30.84% of the mainland area. Other land categories will cover about 66,356 hectares, declined by 483 hectares.

The master plan has also been supplemented to include 1,790 hectares designated for the Free Trade Zone, as stipulated in Decision No. 359/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister.
