DNO - Featuring over 20 cultural, artistic, and creative experiential activities, the “Da Nang Art Creatives Connection” (DACC) 2026 is expected to introduce new tourism products and help attract more visitors to the city during the rest of the year.

Taking place from October 30 to November 8 at the Da Nang Museum and the Museum of Cham Sculpture, DACC 2026 is jointly organized by the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with local cultural institutions and creative communities.
Under the theme “History of Tomorrow”, the event brings together artists, artisans, curators, experts and cultural organizations from Vietnam and across Southeast Asia.
It features a series of exhibitions, performances, discussions, workshops and art-focused tours.
One of the highlights is the interactive discovery tour called “Goc Pho Tourane” (Game Tourane). The tour takes participants on a journey to explore historical traces of Da Nang during the French colonial period in the city center.
Over the course of about one hour, participants are divided into groups and guided through four heritage sites within a radius of around one kilometer.
Along the way, they take on challenges involving observation, information decoding, historical document comparison and creative tasks.
The format opens up opportunities to develop urban discovery tours targeting young visitors, families, students and groups seeking interactive experiences.
Meanwhile, the “Museum of Cham Sculpture Heritage Journey” offers an in-depth exploration of cultural values through the museum’s collections of Champa art.
Under the guidance of museum guides, participants have a chance to learn about the historical context, artistic characteristics and sculptural styles of different periods. They also can discover stories of religious beliefs, daily life and cultural exchanges reflected in each artefact.
Beyond showcasing traditional values, DACC 2026 also creates a space for dialogue between heritage and contemporary art.
“Fragments”, a transmedia performance by Kieu Maily, opens a journey through the ruptures of memory, where Cham ritual artifacts and broken ceramic shards become micro-narratives of life, lineage, and cultural identity.
The fusion of traditional art and contemporary creative expressions helps broaden public access to cultural heritage.
This could also become a distinctive feature of Da Nang tourism, as visitors increasingly seek personalized experiences with cultural depth and opportunities for interaction.

According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, DACC 2026 is expected to mark the first step towards establishing a platform for connecting the city’s arts and creative communities.
The event aims to promote the role of cultural institutions and creative communities as well as to bring heritage closer to the public through contemporary art forms.
Based on the results of its inaugural edition, the city will study the possibility of expanding the event, encouraging greater participation from artists and cultural organizations in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia, and gradually developing DACC into an annual event.
For travel agencies such as Vietravel, Saigontourist and other operators specializing in experiential tours in Da Nang, DACC 2026 presents a promising product development opportunity.
In particular, tours focusing on urban history discovery and exploring Champa art could be integrated into itineraries for international visitors, families and groups interested in local culture.
DACC 2026 demonstrates the potential for connecting cultural institutions, artistic communities and tourism activities. The organizers regard the event as a starting point for establishing a creative arts networking platform, and studying its expansion into an annual event attracting organizations and artists from across Southeast Asia.
