(QNO) - From May 23 - 29, COPI (Children of Peace International, USA) and Quang Nam Friendship Union provided free dental care and oral hygiene services to 750 students and residents in Dien Tien and Dien Hong.
At Le Van Tam Secondary School and Huynh Thuc Khang Primary School in Dien Tien, 500 students received dental exams, hygiene guidance, and gift packs. In Dien Hong, 250 disadvantaged residents got dental care and hygiene advice.
Representatives from the Quang Nam Friendship Union said many poor residents lack access to quality healthcare. Support from NGOs like COPI for medical care is essential and fits local needs.
They praised the programme’s impact, noting it raises health awareness while providing free dental exams. COPI has long offered free medical services in Quang Nam.
COPI provides free medical aid to disadvantaged children. Since 1997, COPI has conducted many annual humanitarian medical missions in various provinces and cities in Vietnam, including Quang Nam. On average, each mission supports dental check-ups for about 1,000 people.
During this dental care mission in Dien Ban town, the team consisted of 14 members, including 7 specialists in dental, jaw, and facial care
