Central Vietnam Bai Choi Singing Festival 2025 slated for November 10 - 15

The event aims to preserve and promote the intangible cultural heritage of Bai Choi, and at the same time, create an environment for exchange among heritage practitioners across the region.

Accordingly, the festival will showcase traditional Bai Choi melodies such as Xang Xe, Ho Thai, and Xuan Nu, as well as praise family bonds and love, impart moral lessons, criticize bad habits, and recreate folktales, ancient tales and historical imprints.

Notably, all performances will reflect a traditional spirit, without the addition of modern background music, in order to ensure the inherent identity of this art form.

In addition, the event will encourage community creativity based on traditional verse structures, melodies, and linguistic nuances.

Participants in the festival will include Bai Choi artisans, practitioners and clubs in 7 provinces and cities in the Central and Central Highlands regions including Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Dak Lak.

Notably, the Central Vietnam Bai Choi Singing Festival in 2025 will not be a competition, so no scoring or prizes will be awarded.
