(QNO) – Vietravel’s Da Nang branch has launched its 2025 summer corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, aiming to support nature conservation and protect the red-shanked douc langur species on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang.
Students take part in a field trip to explore the Son Tra Peninsula.
With the theme “Protect Small Lives - Preserve a Million Shades of Green,” the program brought together 50 outstanding middle school students from various schools across Da Nang, recognized for their academic excellence in the 2024 - 2025 school year.
As part of the program, students took part in a field trip to Ban Co Peak on the Son Tra Peninsula and received the book “The Wildlife of Son Tra Forest,” which introduces 37 notable plant and animal species native to the area.
The book features vivid illustrations and places special emphasis on the vital role of the red-shanked douc langur in the forest ecosystem.
The program aims to raise students’ awareness of environmental protection.
According to a representative of Vietravel Da Nang, amid increasing threats to biodiversity from urbanization, the program aims to raise awareness among younger generations, especially students, about the importance of forest and wildlife conservation. It also seeks to inspire a love for nature and a sense of responsibility in protecting it.
At the same time, the initiative underscores Vietravel’s leading role in environmental and community efforts, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development.
