Expanding learning opportunities

Internationalisation at universities is increasingly reflected in students’ real learning experiences, helping them develop global competencies and adaptability.

A notable example is the 2025 - 2026 Summer International Student Exchange Programme between University of Economics, the University of Danang (UE-UD) and Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS).

Alongside academic courses, Korean students joined Vietnamese language workshops, cultural seminars, and field visits to Da Nang, Hoi An, Tra Que Vegetable Village and local businesses.

UE-UD also provides overseas opportunities for its students. From July to September 2026, four students are undertaking internships at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok in Thailand, gaining practical experience and developing professional and intercultural communication skills.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Huu Man, Head of the Academic Affairs Office, international partnerships are designed to deliver direct benefits to students and enhance training quality. Programmes aligned with ACCA, ICAEW and FIATA standards further help students build internationally relevant professional competencies.

Building an international academic network

Internationalisation at the University of Danang is increasingly embedded in academic programmes, industry partnerships, research and lecturer exchanges.

At EU-UD, the Marriott class model brings international hospitality experts into the classroom, giving tourism and hospitality students practical industry experience.

Lecturers are also expanding international academic engagement. At University of Science and Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hoang Nam was invited by Roma Tre University in Italy to teach in a doctoral programme on civil engineering and machine learning applications.

Meanwhile, University of Science and Education (UED) co-organised an international STEM capacity-building programme during the 2026 China-ASEAN Education Exchange Week in China.

Nearly 50 educators from Vietnam, Thailand and China explored STEM education, AI and digital technologies, while 20 UED lecturers contributed to curriculum development and regional networking.

Through hands-on projects and material development, participants explored practical approaches to educational innovation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Minh, UED Rector said such programmes help connect educators and lay the foundation for joint research, academic exchanges and connected classes, contributing to the development of globally minded and innovative citizens.
