DNO - Nighttime economy hotspots in central areas such as Son Tra night market, An Thuong tourist area, and Bach Dang Street are helping enrich visitor experiences while significantly contributing to revenue growth in Da Nang’s tourism and service sectors.

Bustling night streets
Located at the foot of Dragon Bridge and near many nighttime cultural attractions, Son Tra night market is attracting growing numbers of domestic and international visitors, particularly from South Korea, China and India.
With more than 300 stalls, the market offers handicrafts, lanterns, clothing, dried seafood, and souvenirs, as well as a vibrant food area featuring Da Nang specialities and OCOP-certified products.
Statistics from DHTC Da Nang Joint Stock Company show the market attracts around 5,000 - 6,000 visitors per night, rising to about 10,000 on weekends and public holidays.
Stretching from My Khe and My An to Non Nuoc, with An Thuong Tourist Area as a highlight, Da Nang’s coastline has become a vibrant nighttime destination filled with hotels, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues. Visitors can enjoy diverse cuisine, street music and a lively seaside atmosphere.

Andy, a tourist from Germany, said he was particularly impressed by Da Nang’s beaches and dynamic nightlife, describing An Thuong as comparable to major regional cities.
Along the Han River, entertainment hubs such as Helio Center, Lotte Mart Da Nang and B'Fair night market also attract large crowds, while Bach Dang Walking Street has become a popular venue for cultural and entertainment activities.
Building a nighttime ecosystem
To gradually meet international standards and build a well-structured nighttime economy ecosystem, local authorities and businesses in Da Nang are implementing various coordinated solutions.
According to Director of DHTC Da Nang Joint Stock Company Do Ngoc Thi Ca, the company plans to cooperate with local authorities to organise Ngoc Linh ginseng festivals, street fairs and cultural events, while working with travel agencies to attract more visitors to Son Tra Night Market, particularly during the International Fireworks Festival.

The market management board also regularly provides training on commercial etiquette, food safety, and customer service to help build a friendly tourism image.
Meanwhile, Da Nang continues investing in the An Thuong Tourist Area with projects including a central square, outdoor stage, musical fountains and seaside pedestrian streets while expanding entertainment spaces and tourism corridors to further develop the city’s nighttime economy.

Under Hoa Cuong Ward’s nighttime economy plan, Da Nang will develop riverside dining, shopping and entertainment spaces along the Han River, linked with areas around Tran Thi Ly Bridge, Danang Downtown, Lotte Mart Da Nang, B.Fair Night Market and Metiz Cinema.
Traditional cultural activities at Nai Nam Communal House will also help create a diverse night-time tourism ecosystem.
Besides, Da Nang is expected to strengthen tourism links with Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary, supporting the city’s broader nighttime economy development strategy through 2030.
