DNO - The Passage to ASEAN (P2A), in collaboration with Duy Tan University (DTU), on Friday, held an awards ceremony for the ASEAN AI Hackathon 2026 (AAIH 2026) in Da Nang. Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Ho Quang Buu, attended the event.

The P2A's Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the CIT-U Shane-nanigans team (Philippines); two second prizes to the UI-WICARA ASEAN team (Indonesia) and the UM-Gunners team (Malaysia); and three third prizes to the PUPQ-Hackbigans team (Philippines), the DTU-AEGISFLOW AI team (Duy Tan University, Vietnam), and the CU team (Thailand).
Additionally, different awards concerning innovation, impressive presentation, green solutions, and the audience's choice were given to the participating teams with outstanding results.
The AAIH 2026 final with the theme "AI for a Resilient ASEAN: Innovation, Sustainability, and Humanity," taking place from August 19 to 21, featured 16 competing teams from universities across seven countries in ASEAN, including two teams from Vietnam: Duy Tan University and Dong Nai Technology University.

The competition focuses on developing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to address real-world challenges across the region, including climate change adaptation, public health and telehealth, smart city development, and AI applications in education.
More than just a competition, the AAIH 2026 is a platform that brings together the creative ideas from ASEAN’s young generation, connecting knowledge, fostering technological collaboration, and contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the digital era.
