DNO - Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Pham Duc An hosted a reception on Saturday for Mr. Bassam Tabajah, Chairman of the Arab Business Council and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors and General Director of MHGroup, who visited the city to explore investment opportunities.
Also, in attendance at the reception were Standing Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman Le Quang Nam, and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh said that after the recent administrative merger, Da Nang has an expanded development space with many new opportunities and favorable conditions for breakthrough growth.
The city currently boasts two airports, four seaports, a Hi-tech Park, an Open Economic Zone, a Dedicated Information Technology Park, and several well-developed industrial zones.
Notably, Da Nang has been granted permission by the central government to pilot a number of special mechanisms and policies, including the development of an international financial center and a free-trade zone. This helps create advantageous conditions for the city’s strong future growth.
Meanwhile, representatives of municipal departments and agencies briefed the working delegation on Da Nang’s investment environment and opportunities, including urban and metro railway planning, logistics planning, the High-Tech Park and Free-Trade Zone, as well as the city’s potential for Halal tourism.
Chairman Pham Duc An highly appreciated the cooperation with Arab partners, emphasizing that the Arab region is always considered as a potential source of investment and tourism for the city in the coming time.
The city hoped that through Mr. Bassam Tabajah, more Arab investors will be connected and encouraged to explore and invest in major projects in Da Nang.
In reply, thanked the city’s leaders for their warm welcome. He remarked that Da Nang was a beautiful city with strong development potential and, in particular, friendly and hospitable people.
Regarding investment prospects, he noted that Vietnam in general has many good opportunities for investment. Especially when he was in Da Nang, he realized that the city held significant potential to attract investors from the Middle East.
“Located in central Vietnam with a long and scenic coastline, Da Nang possesses major advantages for development” he said.
Mr. Bassam Tabajah voiced his hope that the city will implement projects aimed at attracting Halal tourists and large-scale investors from the Middle East in the near future.
