According to the emergency directive, closures take effect on September 28 (local time) as follows: Dong Hoi Airport (Quang Tri Province), 1pm–10pm; Tho Xuan Airport (Thanh Hoa Province), 10pm September 28 - 7am September 29; Phu Bai Airport (Thua Thien-Hue Province), 8am - 2pm; and Da Nang International Airport, 6am - 11am.

CAAV noted that airports in Vinh, Tho Xuan, and Dong Hoi are expected to be directly affected by the storm’s path, while Da Nang and Phu Bai could face severe gusts. Other airports further north, including Noi Bai, Van Don, Cat Bi and Chu Lai, have been placed on high alert in case of a sudden shift in the storm’s trajectory.

Airport operators nationwide have been instructed to reinforce runway inspections, communications systems, and flood prevention, while securing equipment and suspending ongoing construction at Cat Bi, Vinh, and Dong Hoi.

The Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) is tasked with issuing continuous meteorological updates, while airlines are required to adjust schedules and minimize disruption.

Storm Bualoi is bringing heavy rain and strong winds to central Vietnam, prompting authorities to emphasize absolute safety as the top priority.
